And the news said 'let's look at giant head guy - isn't he hillarious?' and the media told you that you should laugh because they have a giant head, so people laugh and point at you for your large head. The news does this on purpose to have a story to sell.
They are there to sell the unusual and often to push a narrative and a response.īut, what if instead of having a large head, you were a leather guy with a harness. Or, maybe you are feminine, cross dressing, or other 'non-normal by heteronormative standards' then the news would show up, and put you on tv, and make a mockery of you for being different to gain eyeballs.
You become the freak at the freak show and people watch tv and poke fun. Nobody likes to be ridiculed or looked at like a freak, but that's what the news did, and still does. Whenever they show a gay pride parade, it's always the 'boundary pushers' which are the people that are the most outlandish. AND WE NEED THEM to push boundaries so we get things like gay rights and the right to marry.
